The BlackHumanist Studies Association (BHSA) is a scholarly society devoted to advancing and promoting research and teaching on humanism in the African Diaspora.
Founded by Dr. Anthony Pinn and Dr. Christopher Cameron, we welcome students, faculty, independent scholars, and practitioners of Black humanism to join us in this effort.
The Black Humanist Studies Association will host conferences, support the work of academic and independent scholars in the field, and provide resources for those interested in learning more about Black humanism.
The Black Humanist Studies Association will advance the field by holding conferences and symposia, funding research, and supporting scholars and practitioners.
